Lake St. Joseph is a very unique location with OUTSTANDING fishing. Three cabins are on the same island. They are all arranged as outposts and are independent of each other in every way. Each cabin is not visible from the others. They have either 3 or 4 bedrooms to accommodate groups up to 10 people in each cabin. We have had groups of all sizes here some up to the max of 30 people!

Boats and Motors

The boats are all 16 foot Alumarine boats with 15 h.p. motors. Electric start are now on all boats at this location only!! We keep a camp attendant here. He lives on the island to complete daily chores for you. Such as getting firewood, clearing garbage, bringing ice and gassing the boats in the evening. He will be there to help with any snags that may come up, or just need a helping hand. He is the guy for the job. Which may include bailing boats after the rain!

About Lake St. Joseph

Being centrally located on Lake St. Joseph fishing traffic is easily dispersed in many directions. Deciding where to go while having coffee on the deck in the morning will be the hardest part of your day! The lake itself is over 80 miles long. While most of our fishing is done within 5 miles of camp, it is possible to stray out as far as 20 miles before having enough gas to get home becomes an issue.

The Fishing at Eagle Island

Our outposts are the only ones on the entire west end of the lake. Lake St. Joseph has a variety of topography, from shallow bays, large river inflows, deep water reefs, beaches and boulder shoreline to islands and reefs. Eagle Island has been an extremely popular fishing location for us for all those reasons above. This access makes for so many hiding spots and the access to the deep water means BIG FISH!

Every year St. Joe has walleyes that reach the 30 inch mark or bigger. The biggest being a 34 1/2 inch walleye caught at the western point of the island. Now the Pike! With so many great back bays for ice out pike and great transition spots they are accessible all summer long. In 2016 we seen a 49 1/2 inch pike caught by Suzie Q who’s name has been at the top of the big pike leader board almost every year!
