The Fly-In

[metaslider id=1043]

Our Flights to the lake is probably one of our finest features.

We Don’t own our own airplanes. We use the Northern Edge Aviation (Rich) for the bulk of our flights we also use Slate Falls Airways and Bamaji Air to make sure we have sufficient plane to move all of our groups. The Main planes we use are a Turbo Otter and Twin Beech which hold groups of 8 people on the otter on one flight. All of your gear is weighed in and every plane leaves the dock legally loaded. Ryan is there to meet every group and make sure your trip is on time and you are as prepared as you can be! IF you have excess gear we fly it in on a separate plane or on a check flight. At SFO we don’t charge you or limit you to 50 pounds then charge you extra like other outfitters. We will use the right plane or planes for your group to get every thing in as quickly as possible.

Pick up Times

Pick up day is not pick up day but rather, pick up hour or exact time. I give you your slated time for the plane to arrive and more often than not we are within 10 minutes of that slated time. IF the weather, or something else, conspires against us then you may end up waiting a bit but that is the exception, not the rule. Now with our Satellite Two way communication at the outposts we can text you with updates on the slight chance we have a weather delay.

Check Flights

Check Flights are very common at Slate Falls Outposts. We don’t just load you on the plane and see you next week! Ryan is out in the bush almost every two days or more. I check in with as many camps as possible. Chances are you wont be at camp during the day. If you are we always have time to chat and make sure everything is the way it should be. We are using the camp checks to make sure all supplies are good, dropping off overloads, bait orders anything that needs to be done.
