Carling Lake Outpost
Carling Lake At SFO
Carling Lake outpost was completely renovated over the summer of 2020, with upgrades meeting the Slate Falls Outposts standards including a new main dock and slip docks that you see at our other cabins. This two-bedroom cabin features all-solar lighting, a fridge, and a freezer. There is a large covered deck for you to enjoy relaxing on. There is a small overflow bunkhouse here that has become very popular at our other locations. Two new unique outhouses were built and have been the topic of many conversations. You will have to come to see them for yourself!
Carling Lake outpost offers so much to an angler! With depths over 120 feet and some great structure to explore Carling is a large lake with lots of arms and bays making exploring so much fun. At Carling Lake, the target fish here are walleye, pike, and lake trout. Lake trout may not always be the main target species, but if anglers are looking for a new challenge they can be an aggressive fish that puts up a great fight with some exceeding 20lbs!
Fishing Carling lake
Not only do you have Carling to fish, but Mask Lake is accessible by a short boat ride. The lake has a bunch of protected water so windy days are not stopping you here! Groups enjoy the lake with great walleye and pike numbers being caught. Just like our other lakes, the average walleye size is 18-22 inches with some bigger ones caught! The pike is great as well, with many exceeding 40 inches being photographed and sent back for the next angler to catch!
